MSI, a taiwanese computer and notebook manufacturer just officially introduced a new netbook. It's MSI Wind U115 Hybrid Netbook. The word "Hybrid" in this MSI netbook means that MSI Wind U115 operated with two storage type, SSD and HDD hard drives. The company claims MSI Wind U115 Hybrid Netbook as the first hybrid storage in the world.
What is so good about this hybrid storage device?
SSD stands for Solid State Drive. Its a faster storage device compared to regular HDD. Because SSD is a new technology, it storage size is not as large as regular HDD storage. With this hybrid technology, we can have our Operating System, Programs and Cache installed in SSD storage device and all our data in HDD storage device.
How much data does SSD and HDD storage can store?
MSI Wind U115 Hybrid Netbook have two variant in the market. The first variant comes with 8GB of SSD storage and 120GB of HDD storage. The second variant comes with 16GB of SSD storage and 160GB of HDD storage.
